Keeping Your Pets Safe, Loved and cared for – The peachy way.

Welcome!

Snuggles, Snoozes & Strolls — Their Perfect Peachy Retreat 🍑

Hey there, lovely pet parents of Essex! 🐾

If you’re looking for someone who’ll care for your pets and home with genuine love, trust, and a Peachy touch – you’ve found the right place!

I’m Zoë — the founder and proud heart behind Peachy Pets & Pads, caring for pets and homes across Essex since 2016. What started as a passion has grown into a trusted, multi-service business built on compassion, consistency, and that personal touch that makes every visit special.

Before any bookings, I take time to get to know your pets — their routines, little quirks, and favourite comforts — so they feel happy, safe, and right at home while you’re away.

Your home is your haven, and I treat it with the same care and respect as if it were my own. Over the years, I’ve built strong, lasting relationships with both pets and their people — and now, with my growing Peachy Pals team, I’m excited to offer even more support to our wonderful community.

At Peachy Pets & Pads, it’s not just about walks, cuddles, and belly rubs (though there’s plenty of those!). It’s about compassionate care for your pets and homes — that’s our Peachy promise. 🍑

Where Patience and Passion Come Together — Because Every Pet Deserves Peachy Care 🐾

When it comes to caring for your pets, patience, understanding, and genuine love are at the core of everything I do. I know that change can sometimes feel unsettling for our furry friends — that’s why my approach is calm, compassionate, and tailored to each individual pet.

I take time to learn their routines, quirks, and comforts so they can feel completely at ease while you’re away. Whether it’s a reassuring cuddle, a quiet moment of company, or sticking to their usual walk route, it’s all about helping them feel safe, secure, and content.

Honesty and communication are the foundations of my service. I keep you updated every step of the way and always welcome your preferences, no matter how small. Your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet’s happiness.

Every day brings new lessons, wagging tails, and happy paws — and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This isn’t just a job for me, it’s my purpose and passion. I’m constantly learning and evolving to offer the very best care possible, guided by compassion, trust, and a whole lot of heart.

I feel truly lucky to spend my days surrounded by amazing animals and the wonderful people who love them. Together, we make every day that little bit more Peachy. 🍑

I cannot recommend Zoë enough. She looked after my (very cheeky) 2 year older Lab – Bertie for 11 days whilst I was in Greece (& my cat & rabbit). I got daily updates (as requested) and I came back to a beautifully clean house, as well as a very well behaved Bertie! I can tell how much time and love she has given him by his behaviour. Zoë you are an angel in disguise & so unbelievably professional – THANK YOU xx

🍑 Your Chelmsford & Beyond Pet Pal

Hiya, pet families! I’m your friendly Chelmsford girl — but my Peachy care doesn’t stop there! I happily cover Braintree, Dunmow, Colchester, Maldon, Brentwood, and surrounding areas where possible. Distance is just a number, so if you’re a little further afield, let’s chat and see how we may be able to  help.

Choosing the purr-fect service for your pets is important, and we like to make it personal. That’s why we offer a complimentary meet & greet — a chance for us to have a good old chinwag, get to know each other, and make sure myself or a team member are the perfect match for your furry, feathery, or even scaly family members.

Pop me a message and let’s get started! Together, we’ll make sure your beloved pets are happy, comfortable, and living their best lives — right where they feel safest: at home. 🧡 🐾

Happy Clients

Zoë helped me with a drop off and collection at doggy day care. I was a bit concerned at how Bella would react with a stranger coming into the house so it was great to combine handing over keys with a meet and greet. It was also a weight off my mind to see how Bella took to Zoë immediately. Zoë clearly loves dogs and focuses on putting them at ease but she’s also really professional to deal with and I’d definitely recommend her.”

Nikki Wilson – Danbury, Chelmsford

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for looking after our beloved Parrot, Charlie.

I was so nervous to be leaving him but your regular updates and photos put me at ease and it was clear he was getting used to you. You have a lovely manner and patience which is all we wanted aswell as being trustworthy. Was also impressed with how clean you left everything. We will definitely be contacting you again in the future. Thank you!”

Gemma Anderson – Baddow, Chelmsford

Zoë stayed with my two dogs (14yr old Spaniel & 2yr old Pug 4) for 4 days. They are both very different ages and breeds and both have very different needs. We had never used anyone before in this matter and was very worried and nervous. Zoë was truly amazing and supportive through the whole thing and I will be using her for all my future dog needs. They went on walks every day and the house was looked after aswell as she stayed in the house.”

Jessica Caton – Danbury, Chelmsford

We’ve had Zoë look after our two cats (Alan and Dennis) and we didn’t hesitate to book again for our upcoming holiday. She obviously has a genuine love for pets and knew they were being well looked after. Her communication is fantastic, she sent us photo updates of them each day so we knew they were happy. Would highly recommend!”

Samantha Ellis – Great Leighs, Chelmsford

Zoë has looked after our nervous greyhound on several occasions now. He can be wary of strangers but is a firm fan of Zoë. We feel happy to leave him in such competent and caring hands. Recently Zoë even went the extra mile for us by taking him for a vets check up. We would happily recommend her.”

Katie McEnzed – Malsham, Chelmsford

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your days rates?

 – Live-in sitting is charged per day, not per night.

       ○ Example: Arrival at 5:00 pm Saturday and departure at 1:00 pm Sunday equals 2 days

 – If the sitter is able to leave by 10:00 am on the final day, a 50% discount will be applied to that day’s rate.

       ○ Example: Day rate £80 → final day rate £40 if departure is before 10:00 am.

 – For daytime pet sitting (not overnight), the sitter may arrive at any time during the day but must leave by 11:59 pm on the same day.

 – A new day rate applies from 12:00 am onwards.

Check FAQ’s for more information about evening to morning Pet Sit options and cost.

Do you offer Boarding in your home?

No this is not a service we offer. We stay in your home with your pets. However if you head to my recommendations section you will find some amazing home boarders if that’s what you’re looking for.

Can I meet you before confirming a booking?

Absolutely — I offer a free meet-and-greet (my “Meeting My Fur-ever Friends” visit) for all new clients.
It’s a chance for us to chat, go through routines, ask questions and make sure everyone — especially your pets — feels comfortable before booking. 🐾✨

Do you offer a pet taxi service?

Yes — I do offer a pet taxi service when availability allows. Whether it’s a vet appointment, groomer visit or a planned journey, I can safely transport your pet if needed.
If this is something you’d like to add to your booking, just let me know and we’ll confirm availability and pricing. 🚗🐾

Do you charge more for your services for more than 1 pet?

It depends on what type of pet and what is required. For example our day rates for dog sitting is based on 1 dog. Additional animals will be charged for and can be discussed. All of our prices and services can be found within the website but please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Do you offer an evening-to-morning overnight pet sitting service?

Yes — I can sometimes offer overnight-only stays (evening through to the following morning), depending on my schedule and existing bookings.

Overnight bookings are often charged at my standard day rate, as they reserve both the evening and night, which may prevent me from accepting a full-day booking.

However, if I’m able to leave by around 10am the next morning, the rate for that following day is reduced by 50%, as it allows me to take on additional daytime work.

Everything will be discussed and confirmed at the time of booking so it’s clear and agreed in advance.

Why is in-home pet sitting more expensive than home boarding?

In-home pet sitting is a much more personal service and involves caring for your pets and your home exclusively, rather than looking after multiple animals in one place.

When I stay in your home, you’re not just paying for company — you’re paying for peace of mind. My service includes:

  • 🐾 A free meet-and-greet to get to know you and your pets

  • 🏡 A sitter who is only focused on your pets, not multiple households

  • 🚗 Travel to and from your home for consultations and daily errands/work

  • 🔑 Home security — your home isn’t empty while you’re away

  • 📬 Bringing in post, parcels, deliveries

  • 🌱 Watering house/garden plants

  • 🛁 Keeping your home clean, tidy and cared for

  • ❤️ Keeping pets in their familiar routine and environment

  • 📱 Regular updates, photos and communication

  • ✔️ DBS checked

  • ✔️ Fully insured

  • ✔️ Dog First Aid trained

Home sitting offers a level of comfort, continuity and personal care for both pets and owners that’s very different to boarding — and many pets feel happiest and safest staying in their own environment.

It’s a bespoke, dedicated service — and my aim is to make sure you can go away feeling fully relaxed knowing everything is taken care of. 🍑🐾

Do I need to provide food for my Pet Sitter?

No – I bring my own food but am happy to finish off anything that’s left in the fridge that needs to be used up by the time you arrive back home.

Do I need to provide toiletries for my pet sitter?

No – I bring my own toiletries including shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste etc.

Do I need to provide towels for my pet sitter?

Yes please. It will help reduce the amount of belongings that I need to pack.

Where will my pet sitter sleep while I'm away?

I am happy to sleep in whichever bedroom you prefer for me to stay in but I would expect to sleep in a proper bed rather than a blow up or camping style set up so that I can be as comfortable as possible while looking after your pet.

Will there be anyone else staying with my pet sitter while I am away.

No. I don’t expect to have anyone stay with me at your property. I don’t feel it’s professional. However, I have had clients offer for me to have a friend over for coffee/dinner if I’ve been staying at their home for a longer period of time and would only ever do this if it’s been offered and it fits in with my personal plans and work schedule. I would never ask and would not expect this with any of my stays.

Will my pet sitter keep my house clean and tidy while I am away?

Absolutely! This is something I naturally do as I am a clean and tidy person. I will always leave your home as I found it if not better. I also offer a cleaning service if you require a deeper clean before you’re back home. Details are shown in the services section.

Can you buy essentials for me before I return home from my holiday?

Yes — I’m more than happy to pick up a few basics like bread, milk, or anything else you’d like waiting for you when you get home. I’ll leave the receipt for you, and you can simply reimburse me once you’re back and settled. 🍞🥛🍑

Will you be doing other work while pet sitting?

I do have other work, yes but will always check how long you’re comfortable for your

pets to be left for each day so that I can work things around that and their normal routine. This will be discussed at the consultation.

Will you be walking other dogs when you walk mine?

No. We only offer solo dog walks at the moment so we will always walk your dog alone unless you have more than one dog of course.

If I pet sit for you and you’re ok with me walking with friends dogs, then that’s something that I may do if the option comes up but only with your permission. This question is included on the booking questionnaire to make sure I’m clear with your preference.

Will you walk my dog off lead?

I never walk a new dog off lead for the first walk and not until I feel confident enough to do so and only with your permission. If you prefer for me to always keep your dog on the lead then I will absolutely do this. This question is included on the booking questionnaire to make sure I’m clear with your preference.

My Pet requires daily medication. Is this something my Pet sitter can take over from while I'm away?

Of course. The requirements of this can be discussed at the initial consultation. Depending on what the procedure is, an additional charge may be applied if it felt necessary. This will be made clear before any booking is secure and you will not be surprised by any unexpected charges.

Do you look after any other animals other than cats and dogs?

Yes. I have done many pet visits for birds, rabbits and fish so far and would be happy to discuss your pets requirements with you. I’ll always be happy to help if it’s something I think I can do.

Will you stay with my pet the entire time you are looking after them?

When you book an hourly pet sitting service, I’ll stay with your pets for the full duration of the time booked.

For overnight or full-day bookings, I do need some flexibility to leave the house for short periods — for example, to attend other work such as dog walks or cleaning.
We’ll always discuss what you’re comfortable with during our first meeting so you know exactly what to expect and your pets’ routine is well cared for. 🐾💛

If my pet needs to go to the vet, will you stay with them during the appointment?

Yes — if your pet needs veterinary care while you’re away, I’ll always do my best to stay with them throughout the appointment so they feel safe and supported.
If for any reason I can’t stay (for example due to another booking or work commitment), I’ll keep you updated and make sure your pet receives the care they need. We’ll go through all of this in your consultation so we have a clear plan in place. 💛🐾

Do you care for dogs who are in season?

It depends on the situation and what service you’re booking.
I’m happy to discuss caring for a dog in season, but this would usually only be possible for home visits or overnight pet sitting, not dog walking, to avoid any risk around other dogs.
Each case is different, so we’ll talk it through during your consultation to decide what’s best and safest for your dog. 🐶🍑

With your taxi service, do you transport nervous dogs?

Absolutely — nervous dogs are welcome.
Every pet is different, so I take things at their pace to make the journey as calm and comfortable as possible.

For anxious dogs, I allow extra time so there’s no rush. I use gentle handling, positive reassurance, and can offer familiar comforts such as their own blanket or toy.

Before any transport booking, we’ll have a quick chat to understand their personality, triggers, and what helps them relax, so everything is tailored to them.

Your dog’s comfort and wellbeing always come first. 🐾✨

Will you stick to my pet’s usual routine (feeding times, walks, bedtime etc.)?

Absolutely — keeping your pet in their normal routine is really important, especially when you’re away. I’ll follow their usual feeding times, walk schedule, playtime, meds (if needed), and even bedtime habits so everything feels familiar and comforting for them.
We’ll go through all of this during your consultation so I can make sure I’m following things exactly how you like them. 🐾🍑

How many walks will my dog get during an overnight stay?

This can vary depending on your dog’s needs, age and routine — but most overnight stays include at least one walk per day, unless you’ve requested otherwise.
We’ll discuss what your dog is used to during the consultation so I can tailor everything to their normal routine and energy levels. 🐾✨

What happens if my travel is delayed and I can’t get home in time?

No need to stress — these things happen! If you’re delayed, we’ll continue caring for your pets until you get home. We may have other bookings but we’re happy to keep your key until we know when you’ll be back home incase we need to pop back and check on your pets.
Just keep us updated as best you can, and we’ll make sure your pets stay happy, fed and settled until you’re back. Any extra time will simply be added to your booking and discussed once things are confirmed. ✈️🐾💛

Do you offer trial visits or settling-in walks before longer bookings?

Yes — absolutely. If your pet is nervous, new to having a sitter, or you’d simply feel more comfortable easing into things, we’re happy to arrange a settling-in visit or walk before a longer stay.
It’s a great way for your pet to get to know us, build trust and feel relaxed before the real booking begins. 🐾💕
Just let me know if this is something you’d like, and we can arrange it ahead of time.

How do you handle keys and access to my property?

We take security and access very seriously. Keys are stored safely, labelled in a way that never includes your name or address for privacy.
Access details (alarms, locks, gates, codes etc.) are kept securely and only used for your booking.
We’ll go over everything during your consultation so you feel confident and everything is handled exactly how you prefer. 🔐🐾

Will you take bins out or put them back in if needed?

Yes — absolutely. If your bins need putting out or bringing back in while you’re away, we’re happy to take care of it. Just let us know your collection day and any recycling rules, on your online form which will be sent once booking is confirmed and we’ll make sure it’s handled for you. 🗑️✨

How do I secure a booking?

Once we’ve had a meet-and-greet and you’ve confirmed the dates you’d like, I’ll send you an email with all the details. This will include my Terms & Conditions, a short online form to complete, and payment information for your deposit.
Your booking becomes fully secured once the deposit has been received — until then, dates remain open to other enquiries. 🐾🍑

When is payment due?

Once your deposit has been received, your booking is fully secured. The remaining balance is due one week before your booking begins.
Full payment details can also be found in my Terms & Conditions on the Home page. 🐾🍑

Do you charge extra for bank holidays, Christmas or peak dates?

Yes — peak dates such as bank holidays and Christmas do have additional charges. You’ll find the full breakdown in my Terms & Conditions on the Home page. 🐾✨

Can I extend my booking while I'm away?

Sometimes, yes — it depends on availability. If I (or a team member you’ve already met) have space in the diary, we’ll happily continue care for as long as you need.

If we’re already fully booked, or you haven’t been introduced to another team member, we may not be able to extend — but it’s always worth asking. We’ll always help if we can. 💛🐾

How often will I receive updates?

That’s completely up to you. Everyone is different — some owners love daily photos and videos, while others are happy with occasional check-ins.
When you book, I’ll ask how often you’d like updates and what style you prefer (photos, videos, messages or even a little FaceTime).
Whatever makes you feel most relaxed while you’re away, I’ll follow. 🐾✨

What happens in extreme weather (heatwaves, snow, storms)?

Your pet’s safety always comes first. If we have extreme weather — like a heatwave, heavy snow, storms or icy conditions — We may need to adjust walks or routines to keep your pet safe and comfortable.

This could mean:

  • Shorter walks

  • Gentle garden breaks instead of long outdoor walks

  • Earlier or later walks to avoid the hottest part of the day

  • Indoor enrichment, mental stimulation and play instead of exercise outside

We’ll always follow what’s safest for your pet (and avoid any unnecessary risks). We’ll keep you updated if anything needs adjusting, and make sure your pet is still happy, stimulated and well cared for. 🐾✨

Do you walk puppies? And do you follow age-based walk limits?

Yes — We’re more than happy to walk puppies, but we always follow age-appropriate guidelines to protect their growing joints and keep the experience positive.

As a general rule, puppies only need very short walks and gentle exposure to the outside world. We also include things like:
✨ Sniffing time
✨ Light training
✨ Confidence-building experiences

We’ll discuss your puppy’s routine, age, breed and comfort level during the consultation and tailor walks exactly to what they need — never too much, never too soon. 🐾💛

Can you refill litter trays, hay, fresh vegetables, enrichment toys etc for cats and smaller pets??

Absolutely — We’ll happily take care of all the day-to-day essentials your pets need. Whether that’s refreshing litter trays, topping up hay, preparing veg, adding new enrichment activities or keeping feeding stations clean, We’ll follow your usual routine and preferences.
Just let us know what your pet loves (and anything they don’t!), and We’ll make sure everything is kept topped up and tidy. 🐾🥕✨

Do you charge mileage for services outside Chelmsford?

Yes — mileage may be added for bookings outside of Chelmsford to cover travel time and fuel. This is always discussed and agreed in advance so there are no surprises.

Will my pet always have the same sitter?

Where possible, yes. I believe consistency helps pets feel relaxed and secure.
If another member of my team needs to step in, you’ll always be informed first — and a meet-and-greet will be arranged so your pet is familiar with them before any booking takes place.

What makes your service different?

Peachy Pets & Pads is a personalised, heart-led service that focuses on your pets, their routine and the comfort of staying in their own home.
